This is the fourth book in the "Trucks & Truckers" series & focuses on the region from Taupo to Putaruru, west of the Mamaku Ranges. It covers the early days when native tree logging reigned, the planting of Radiata pine, & the early days of NZFP. Many of these companies have long gone, but the impressive fleets they operated will long be remembered. With names such as Uden Brothers, Taupo Totara Timber Company, Nihill's Transport, Maroa Logging Ltd & New Zealand Forest Products Ltd, this book covers most of the trucks of this area past & present.
