Anderson Oil Engines 1906 - 1957 Book. Complied by Brian D. Batchelor & Richard H Robinson & published by Country Life NZ in 1992. This is the story of Andersons Ltd, the founder of which, John Anderson, arrived in NZ with him family from Scotland in 1850. He opened a blacksmith shop in Lyttleton that same year & undertook farm equipment repairs. He soon began importing farm machinery, steam engines & locomotives & even built a steam launch named "John Anderson". John Anderson died in 1897, but by 1900 with the arrival of the oil engine, Andersons realised their potential & went on to design & manufacture the very sccessfull range of Anderson engines. Over 10,500 were made from 1906 - 1957. This is a used item in very good condition but has some dirty marks, & other imperfections. Only 1 available.
